What to do in Kamenjak National Park

At the southernmost tip of the Istrian peninsula, you will find Cape Kamenjak, also known as RT Kamenjak or Premantura Kamenjak. This beautiful cape is a popular destination for those visiting the park and is home to some of the most stunning views in the area.

Eat at the Safari Bar

Always a popular dining spot in Premantura Kamenjak National Park, the Safari Bar is a fun place to have lunch if you’d prefer not to bring a picnic with you. The bar is located in Mala Kolombarica beach and it looks like it came from an ancient fairy tale. 

It’s not the only beach bar in the park, but with its tables amidst the undergrowth, it’s definitely the most iconic. You can taste fish or meat meals, cold drinks or sandwiches surrounded by nature.

Get active

As well as being a popular spot for cycling, Kamenjak (Croatia) is a great place for other action sports. 

Kamenjak National Park offers a variety of outdoor activities that are perfect for those who want to get active and explore the natural beauty of the area. The park has a network of hiking trails that offer stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding countryside.

For those who love water sports, Kamenjak is an ideal destination for kayaking, snorkelling, and swimming. There’s a windsurfing centre that also rents out kayaks – perfect for exploring the area’s sea caves. Some visitors enjoy getting the adrenaline pumping by jumping off the rocks into the sea at the ‘Cliff Jump’ site near the Safari Bar.

The crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea provide the perfect setting for exploring the underwater world, while the many hidden coves and secluded beaches offer peaceful and tranquil spots for swimming and sunbathing. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also try rock climbing on the cliffs and boulders that dot the coastline, or take a guided tour of the area’s caves and sinkholes.

How to get to Kamenjak National Park

If you want to reach Kamenjak National Park Premantura, just follow signs to Cape Kamenjak if you’re driving. You only have to pay the 5,30 EUR entrance fee to get in if you’re travelling in by car; if you cycle in or go on foot or by boat, it’s free. You can get a bus directly from Pula, but if you drive, you’ll find designated car parks at various points around the park.

It’s worth noting that there are two entrances, and if you’re entering at the Rupine entrance you’ll need a pre-paid ticket to drive in; you can buy tickets either at the Parendine entrance or from local tourism agencies.
